Dissemination and Exploitation of Project Results (DEOR) Meeting was Held

On December 22nd, 2022 Thursday an online meeting for “The Dissemination and Exploitation of Project Results of the Erasmus+ Programme” was held by the Turkish National Agency.

The meeting, attended by nearly 750 participants, started with the opening speeches of Yunus Alper ALTAY, General Coordinator of the Turkish National Agency.

The concept of DEOR in Erasmus+ projects means sharing the project outputs with a wide audience and putting the outputs into practice, supporting policy-making and/or being a source of inspiration for other projects.

The Turkish National Agency organizes DEOR Meetings on selected themes every year in order to support Erasmus+ beneficiaries on DEOR. In meetings; Key Action 2: Cooperation Among Organisations and Institutions projects with concrete outputs are brought together with institutions and organizations that may be related to these results. Messages are given at the meeting:

Yunus Alper ALTAY, General Coordinator of the Turkish National Agency: “The reflection of the outputs of the projects carried out in our country within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme to the national policies, the use of these outputs in the policy-making process and ensuring their sustainability are important in terms of maximizing the benefit that our country will derive from the Programme. As the Turkish National Agency, we support this subject by organizing DEOR meetings. In this direction, our agency has been systematically organizing DEOR workshops since 2016. However, at the core of the work lies the work that our beneficiaries will do for the sustainability of the project results.”

At the meeting, 5 projects belonging to the Hacettepe University, Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education, Gaziantep University, Aydın Provincial Directorate of Migration Management and Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Tarım Peyzaj A.Ş. were brought together with the institutions and organizations that may be related to the project results.

Information on these projects is given below:

1- Giving A Voice to Deaf People in Metal Sector: In this project carried out by Hacettepe University, it is aimed to derive technical signs for 101 different standard machine elements used in the metal industry and to develop a mobile application and interactive education portal for the education of deaf people working in the metal industry.

2- We are at work too: In this project which was carried out by the Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education, it is aimed to increase the vocational qualifications of the students with mild mental disabilities who receive education in the food and beverage services department of special vocational education schools and to eliminate the deficiencies that make it difficult for them to enter business life.

3- Becoming Aware of Disability: Developing a Curriculum Based on Cognitive Evolution in Higher Education: In this project which was carried out by Gaziantep University, it is aimed to create a curriculum that will provide cognitive changes in skills, attitudes and awareness of the disabled and disability rights on the basis of the human rights of the students in higher education and other individuals in the society by creating external benefits by conducting analysis studies that can change the awareness and attitudes of individuals at the higher education level, and integrate the curriculum into the distance education module.

4- Immigrant Friendly Cities: In this project which was carried out by Aydın Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, it is aimed to provide permanent information services to immigrants by developing mobile applications and online trainings. Within the scope of the project, Immigrant Friendly Cities Mobile Application in 8 Languages was produced that aimed to provide easy access to immigrants' general rights, information and internet resources with these MOOC applications.

5- Enhancing Social of Youth Through Employment In Agri-Food Sector: In this project which was carried out by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Tarım Peyzaj A.Ş., it is encouraged to bring young people into the agricultural labour market and it is aimed to provide young people with qualifications and competencies in order to prevent migration to metropolitan cities.
